This morning I woke up to find an E-Mail in my inbox from an individual who has for a while infatuated over me.
Trust me, I didn’t ask for it! It’s especially weird when the person is old enough to be your Mom.
When I wouldn’t reciprocate (even after multiple times from the start admitting I wasn’t interested) they removed themselves from me completely. They canceled their subscription to my blog and my Twitter and they got rid of my E-Mail address.
Why do I also think they got so upset? They chose to set unreasonable and unreal goals and expectations for themselves and for me. So, they saved me the trouble of telling them that they are more than welcome to simply “go away.”
I grabbed my cup of coffee like I do every morning and turned on the TV and said out loud with a laugh, “AWESOME!” No hard feelings at all!
Besides, the situation was getting quite annoying!
What’s funny is that the very same day I lost this individual I received two other follows on Twitter and multiple hits on my blog.
Family, friends, professionals and others have told me that people will come and go and its okay to let them go. Just be nice, wave goodbye and keep moving forward.
After all, whose really at a loss anyway!?
