I never really cared for making “resolutions.”
The minute you make them, they sound amazing! That is until you end up breaking them somewhere in the middle of January for one reason or another.
And, to be perfectly honest, I’m finding that the best way for me to ensure a successful start to the year (besides the creation of my bullet journal) is to simply ease into it just before the beginning of the new year.
Instead of waiting for Day 1, I’ve decided to make TODAY…Day 1.
In other words, I’m choosing to take the necessary steps and sacrifices to change NOW!
No waiting to change. No waiting to devote more time to prayer and Bible Study. No waiting till tomorrow to work on my blog or work on my books or draw my comics. No waiting till DAY 1.
You have Day 1 right now.
So, I’ve made the choice to simply ease into it all. And it’s working! I’m taking baby steps into accomplishing the larger goals that have before me for the new year. And THAT is a real blessing.
Also, if I start to ease into things now, then I can really go big as the days go by. We’re talking build-up of momentum here!
